The University of the Aegean (Smart MOVE Research Lab) hosted a workshop on Marine Technology, which was focus on the impact of recent developments (such as Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, Big Data and Augmented Reality) on the maritime domain. The workshop provided the space for the wider research and end-user community to interact and discuss future opportunities and it was organised in two sessions:

Session 1: Augmented Reality for Maritime Training
Session 2: Artificial Intelligence & Big Data in the Maritime Domain

The workshop on Marine Technology took place on 12th September 2022, at the Conference Room Chamber of Cyclades in Syros, Greece, between 10:00-17:00.

The workshop was organised as part of the RELAR (Remote Learning & examination based on AR) project.

MOSES was presented by its coordinator Prof. Nikolaos Ventikos, from NTUA, who delivered a presentation entitled: “AutoMated Vessels and Supply Chain Optimisation for Sustainable Short Sea Shipping“. His presentation can be found here.
